Audio Data Discovery and Extraction
National Data Conversion, Inc

Performed analysis and discovery of digital audio data formats and codec encodings on various legacy digital logging device media. Once the audio data could be deciphered, developed various command line utilities that converted the compressed audio data to raw PCM or G.711.

Technologies used include Visual C++, MFC, Windows Audio Compression Manager API, and open source codec code.

Business results: The original process of extracting audio from various loggers was done in real time, recording the audio as it played. The utilities I developed allowed NDCI to save man hours and thus money by automating audio data extraction in bulk.
